A little update. At this very moment we are in the process of adding the final touches to the artwork design for our album… all still very hush hush of course…  😉

But the album itself is in the can! So in the meantime… we are proud to introduce to you the 3 people who helped giving the NEW Semistereo Album it’s MASSIVE sound! Yes YES y’all! This week it’s all about MIXING MADNESS at giesound studio. Guido Aalbers (with help from intern Martin) is working on the mixdown of our new album. Martijn and the rest of Semistereo is overseeing the process, delivering input and getting regularly blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the result. It is just great to see the songs come to life. Below a litte sneak peek and a bit of audio….

Recently Mars has tracked drum parts for 10 (!) new songs for the upcoming album. Including Timpani, Congas and various other percussion. We are not sure yet which songs will make the final cut, but we will keep you posted. They ALL sound amazing that’s for sure, but we also want the best selection of songs and an album as a whole for you to enjoy.

The recordings were made at E-sound studio in Weesp. Dutch music history was written in that studio since the 70’s, and hopefully we added a cool chapter to that.  Thomas Cochrane was in charge …
